Martín Alcalá Rubí

CEO. Tryolabs Co-Founder. B.S. in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering. Martin is mainly dedicated to the Business side of Tryolabs. Martin develops the BPs and overall Business strategies, but also enjoys very much the technical side of the force. So he is also the Python Master, Linux SysAdmin Wizard, and Open Source Evangelist of Tryolabs. He has wide experience in Mobile Telecom industry and Business roles.

Raúl Garreta

CTO/CPO. Tryolabs Co-Founder. B.S. in Computer Engineering. MSc student in Computer Science and seasoned Lecturer in Machine Learning. He is our Chief Technical Officer as well as our Chief Product Officer for Tryolabs's products area. Raul masters the design and development of AI Systems, and he is very proud to be the Tryolabs’s “Artificial Intelligence Mad Scientist”. He has extensive experience in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Web mining and Software development. If Raul can’t solve it, it can’t be done.

Ernesto Rodríguez

COO - Chief Operations Officer and Shogun. Tryolabs Co-Founder. B.S. in Computer Engineering. Ernesto is our User Interface Rockstar and leader of our Development Services team. He has lots of experience working with interaction, UI/UX web development, visual retrieval and usability coming from the industries of videogames and augmented reality.

John Matthesen

Tryolabs's VP Business Development, local partner and general advisor at San Francisco Bay Area. Energetic and accomplished executive, with over 29 years diverse business experience, including 21 years in high-tech. Hands-on experience taking companies from startup to global enterprises. John's focus is on leading edge and innovative technology, from planning and development to sales and implementation. John enjoys meditating about future hi-tech markets and ideas having a glass of fine wine. He also enjoys gardening at the back of his house and hiking.

Javier Couto

Research Engineer and Business Development Europe. B.S. In Computer Engineering. PhD in Natural Language Processing from Paris-Sorbonne University. Javier has more than twelve years of experience in international research projects, both in the industry and in the academia, holding posts as Research Engineer, Consultant, R&D Team Manager and Lecturer. He is our local partner in Europe. Systematic, meticulous, always curious and willing to dialogue, he loves challenges involving Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Web Mining. He also enjoys literature, traveling, fine wine and good cheese, in that order.

Lucía González

Clever, proactive, detail oriented, responsible and a little crazy. Lucia joined Tryolabs as an advanced CS student, introducing the female charm into our customers' apps. She is the actual definition of full stack development; enjoying full front end Javascript magic to down to the core Python/Django programming. When she is not programming, she is playing and training at the professional College Soccer league.

Alan Descoins

Alan is Tryolabs's very own Sheldon Cooper. An outstanding programmer, and a special kind of geek who doesn't like Star Wars. Alan joined the backend team of Tryolabs, doing Python/Django and NLP magic. He started programming at the age of 13, being the creator of Subtitle Workshop software, one of the best open source subtitle editors on the web. Currently he holds his brand new Computer Science Engineering degree. If you enjoy discussing algorithms and artificial brains, Alan is the guy!

German Hoffman

The big man of Tryolabs, is a B.S. Computer Engineering whose experience with Python began 5 years ago, being a former user and contributor of the Scrapy framework. During his studies he focused on networking, computer security and operating systems but later found out his real passions are robotics and moving things. Nowadays he is developing his graduate project blending augmented reality, computer vision and a robotic arm. Among his interests we can find open source software, literature (not only Sci-Fi), traveling, music and popping plastic bubble wrap.

Martín Santos

Santos is our Metalcore-Headbanger developer. Counting with more than 4 years using Python, he has a strong web scraping background, and a very good eye for front-end development. He has worked using Python and Scrapy Framework on different environments. Lately he has become one of our tastypie experts.

Rodrigo Herrera

Loving Python at first sight, Rodrigo has worked on several kinds of deployments and heavy load environments such as in the Telecomm Industry. His working experience programming started 5 years ago with an obscure past using J2EE, but three years ago he discovered Python and everything changed. On his downside, Rodrigo suffers from a rare disease called "PS3 insomnia" mastering every football game.

Alejandro Martínez

Internationally known for being the inspiration for Lady Gaga's song Alejandro, Ale is also an outstanding Python developer that travels back and forth between back-end and front-end programming without even feeling it. When he is not coding new features for DayWatch he is in the soccer stadium supporting for his team, Peñarol. He is the office prankster and he has the strange habit of eating burgers making circles with it.

Catherine Barzi

Catherine ~~(or Chachilyn, as she likes to be called)~~ is our executive assistant and office veggie. With her love for animals, heart shaped post-its and Spice Girls playlist, Cath brings life to the office, keeping our nerdishness at non lethal levels. She is in charge of handling all of Tryolabs' finances, customer invoicing and more importantly, maintaining our stash of snacks full all the time.

Diego Gadola

Full stack developer and full stack person, Diego is friends with everyone in the office. He is a Computer Analyst, an advanced student in engineering and an experienced developer, his curriculum includes C++, Erlang, Java, Javascript, Apex, Perl, HTML5 and everyones’ favourite: Python. Don’t let his retro-hipster glasses fool you, he is all about modern technologies, having done projects with Big Data, cloud storage and many more cool gizmos.

Mauro de Carvalho

Diablo III evangelizer and office foodie, Mauro’s Python skills are only matched by his appetite. He is known by the community for his contributions to android’s rom cyanogenmod. He is finishing his bachelor degree in computer engineering working in a project that mixes cool mobile stuff with complex backends. Polyglot developer and full time hacker, Mauro likes to enjoy his weekends secretly customizing his Eclipse IDE.

Fernando Borretti

Barely legal but very awesome. Fernando joined us as the youngest developer in the office but seemingly more experienced in programming than everyone else put together. He loves Python, mathematics, physics and avoiding social life situations. His commitment to his work and amazing skills put together with his truly analytical and meticulous mind make Fernando one true Tryolabs' rockstar.
